When it comes to food, Conny’s passion has always revolved around sharing new recipes with others. A native German, she gives back to her chosen community as an avid volunteer and previous owner of a registered cottage kitchen in San Luis Obispo County. Conny also adds her skills as a professional designer and marketer to the business.

She develops her creative recipes with inspiration from European cuisine, regional ingredients, and sustainable practices. Conny believes in giving back to the community and donates 3% of all proceeds to the SLO Food Bank. In 2021, BaguetteAbout.it was able to provide 7,000 meals to SLOcals in need.

Lola, the Food Truck

Lola is a marketplace find from Templeton. The 1972 Ford Econoline was in bad shape, but Conny immediately saw the potential for the unique truck.

After purchasing the car, it took several months of planning and designing the interior and exterior according to health code, HUD guidelines, and food truck standards. Over the period of 10 months, the truck was furnished with vending windows, steel walls, flooring, and modern cooking equipment, custom painted and passed all inspections with flying colors.

In June 2020, Lola finally became a real food truck. This old lady looks gorgeous now and is an original addition to any event.

Food Creates Community.

The SLOcal community is incredibly important to BaguetteAbout.it’s success. Thank you!
